Encouraging Mobility in Podcast Listening Practice: A Demonstration
This presentation, given at SETESOL 2010, reviews Ducate and Lomick (2009)’s paper on mobility of podcasting in the language classroom, and examines ways to design tasks that take advantage of the portable aspect of podcasts.

Twisted English: An ESL Phonology Podcast
The following podcast is intended for college-level ESL students, and uses tongue twisters to teach English pronunciation. Not only are tongue twisters an engaging and motivating way to draw attention to specific phonetic features, students can memorize them for recitation in class, thus creating a potentially mobile activity that doesn’t lend itself to sitting in front of a computer.
